Well, I’m going to learn just how patient Ten Ping can be while she waits on me to get her new outfit made. Made? I haven’t even had a chance to get the fabrics picked out for it yet? Since I’m building her whole outfit around “THE SHOES” (HERE), I assumed her outfit would have to be out of red, black and white fabrics. My Asian prints were all too busy to go with the shoes or they had a cream instead of white background.
I laid Ten Ping on top of some fabrics and took her picture. Sometimes you can tell more about the prints when you see them in a picture, than you can by just looking at them in person. I still haven’t decided though.
I sketched a couple of quick ideas that I might go with, although I think with cute Mary Jane shoes, I might want something with a little skirt. Again, I’m trying to decide on this too…
I pulled out some felt flowers, some ribbons and bows, etc. and put them on the fabrics to try and help me decide. I’m going to sleep on it and see what I think in the morning. I know I’ll know it when it comes to me…
One thing I know for sure, it won’t get done tomorrow. I have a Graduation Banquet tomorrow night and have to do some more cooking for it. I’m hoping for a new outfit on Monday…that’s my new goal date. I hope it happens. I have the baseball game with my son on Sunday, so YIKES… I better get some inspiration over night!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Hello Jeanne,
Love the different materials your thinking about for Ten Ping. She looks very pretty up against them.
Hope your cooking and baking go well for the graduation banquet. Lasagna sounds good!
Got my AG dolls off to the gal in Virginia. Sending two for one custom. Can’t wait to see her. I’ll send a picture when she is done.
Have a great day with many accomplishments!!
HI Paula,
Thanks for the vote of confidence that I make the right choice in picking the fabrics!
Oh, how exciting for your new girl to be sent off. I can’t wait to see her! How long will it take her to put them together? I bet you can hardly stand it!
I’m hoping there’s extra hours added to TODAY…just today!
Blessings, Jeanne
Your fabrics for Ten Ping’s outfit are really nice, I love red and black together. I couldn’t stand it, I had to pre-order the new #7 Ten Ping. I love Jar-Lu, but Ten Ping has the sweetest face. It will be an early birthday gift to my self. *Smile*
HI Regina,
Oh wonderful!!! Another mommy to a Ten Ping sweetie! You’ll love her!
Happy Early Birthday!!!
Blessings, Jeanne
Good Luck! Have a fun weekend!
Thanks Kathie,
I’ll sure try…
You have a good weekend too!
Blessings, Jeanne
What cute fabrics for Ten Ping, Jeanne! I’m sure you will do something that will turn out simply adorable! I love red and black on Asian dolls! Ivy wears them very well too!
I’m back from our little getaway in Branson. It was very nice and relaxing, we did a little of everything and the weather was perfect! But oh, when we came home! The squirrels must have had a neighborhood party! They had nut shells all over the front porch, got into all my potted plants and turned them upside down, with potting soil all over the place! I was a bit upset, no, make that VERY upset! After all the work and expense to make things look good! I read about your troubles with moles and birds, but these squirrels are holy terrors!
Did you know your baseball game Sunday is at night? Just wondering if you knew. I’ll still be watching! Hope the rain doesn’t materialize!
HI Linda,
Welcome home! Those pesky little squirrels… sorry they messed up all your potted plants! They must have been “Herculanean” squirrels that tipped over your pots! Gracious!!
The baseball game is at 6:30 or 7:00 at night… I think there is a 60% chance of rain so I don’t know what happens then…do they call it early or just take a chance and play in the rain anyway? I guess we’ll find out! How far do you live from the stadium?
Thanks Linda and again, welcome back to IL!
blessings, Jeanne
If it is raining, there may be a rain delay, but then they play after that, if it stops raining. I hope things will be OK for you and Kristoffer. Did I spell his name right? It looks off to me! Goodness, how DID you teach your children to spell their last name?
Ummm, well, you welcomed me back to IL, but dear Jeanne Marie, I live in MO, and never left MO to go to Branson!! I live about 20 to 30 minutes south from the stadium off Hwy. 55. Not that far really. Do you take Hwy. 55 to get here?
HI Linda,
OOPS…welcome back to Missouri! I knew that, but slipped… We always talk about going to St. Louis, which means the Saint Clair Square area and I think of IL!
Yes, you got Kristoffer’s name right… and yes, it took a while for the kids to learn their names. George wanted to spell Kristoffer’s name the German way so he won on that. He had a little brother named Christopher that died when he was 3 days old. George wanted to spell Rebecca’s name the Biblical way… Rebekkah…and I won out on that one… :o)
I think we go up and hit 64…does that make sense? But I’m not positive…I’m always just a passenger…and don’t pay that much attention…I just go along for the ride…and to go to Jackman’s Fabrics! :o) again!
I think it’s supposed to rain, but I guess we’ll see what happens…
Thanks Linda, I hope you got your pots all turned back upright and your plants put back in them…
Blessings, Jeanne
So many choices. I like the sketch on the right for her outfit. It is hard when your creative plans need to take a break to postpone cutting and sewing. Lasagna sounds good to me too.
Hi Jan,
Well, I managed to make it through my day, I’ve just finished my blog post for tomorrow, I’ve gotten in my 10,000 steps for today and I’ve done it all before midnight! I think I’ll go to bed and celebrate. Some friends told us tonight at the banquet, there is an Estate Sale just down the road from us in the morning, and my hubby found out there are tools… so I’m sure we’ll get up early and go to it! I just wanted to sleep in… guess not!
Thanks Jan,
