More Easter Dresses for your dolls to enjoy…

I have lots of Easter dresses to share with you so get ready for some “eye candy!” Some of these were last year’s Easter dresses and some were from 5 or more years ago. I think little girls dresses are pretty timeless… they look just as sweet today as they did 10 years ago. Or maybe it’s just that I’m old fashioned and I think that’s true…

Whatever the case, let’s see some more dresses…

Here’s Bitty Bethany, by Helen Kish in a little Easter dress I called “Bunny in my Pocket!”

Little 7 1/2″ An Mei and Riley (Kish dolls) also had a bunny to share when they modeled this dress set for me.

This next little dress was one I made as a special order for a lady. She had painted a Bitty Bethany (Kish) doll and wanted one of my dresses to sell with the doll. I loved this sweet dress but my pictures aren’t very good.

  1. Thank you, Jeanne, for an early Easter treat as those dresses are all new to me. Love them all, but my favorite is Bitty Bethany in the light blue eyelet. Sometimes I miss making things for the Kish girls. I made a lot of things for Bethany and really enjoyed her.
    Have a great day!!!

  2. HI Cindy,
I used to sew for Bitty Bethany a lot too. My Bitty Bethany doll with the red wig was a bit of a pain to photograph though. She had something wrong with her neck and I guess it was strung too tight… I never could get her to look straight out… It was always down or to the side.
On a different subject, do you know anything about the Ruby Red Galleria dolls like Ten Ping and Mia. I just discovered them last night… I think they debuted in January… they are 8″ tall and are so adorable… but they are sold out… A new edition is supposed to come out any day now….Oh Cindy, help….
    Blessings, Jeanne

  3. I have been looking at the Ten Ping dolls, too, I did so much sewing for Riley and have all those patterns. I contacted Denver Doll but they’re not taking pre-orders and will be getting only 8 dolls.

    1. Hi Jevne,
I was going to call them right after lunch… 8 dolls, huh? That’s terrible…for us… Isn’t she just the sweetest thing? I still have all my patterns for Riley too. I think I have improved since I sewed for her and I’d like to give it another try with Ten Ping… oh…now I’m so sad…
Do you know anyone who has one? I just saw someone on the LD forum that showed Ten Ping with her Zoe… that’s where I saw her first…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. A friend recently told me about Ten Ping. Might she be the next must have doll? I believe RRG has a luncheon event at UFDC and there will be a Ten Ping available at the luncheon, if I have the information correctly.

    1. HI Jan,
Oh dear… I think I have Ten Ping fever!! I have looked at every possible site on the internet and no dolls. I might as well give it up…
      Thanks Jan,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. I have a Ten Ping doll, also one of the girls that are responsible for raising crops. I think mine is for corn or potatos. They are also Ruby Red dolls, just a different line. My Ten Ping is 8″–very cute. I’m not sure how to put pictures in the blog, but I can take pictures and send them to you (Jeanne.)

Thanks for all the wonderful Easter dress pictures! Really giving me some inspiration here!

Last year I made Easter dresses for my LDs (at the time I had 3, and had Heather on order, so made one for her, too) and crocheted Easter baskets for them (too late for Easter by the time I was done, though!). However, after my friend Pat died, her husband gave me her Patty (painted by Nelly), so now She needs an Easter dress, too!! LOL I’m using the same pattern for all (by Nedra, but modified), and different pastel prints, but trimming each a little differently, so now I have to look into my trim bins, and see what I can use that will be different from what I’ve already done!

As I said, thanks for the inspiration!!

    1. HI Charlotte,
I’m so glad I was able to “help” you with a little inspiration! I sure didn’t get as many dresses finished as I had hoped before Easter arrived, but I guess that’s okay. A few got new dresses anyway.
You are so welcome and happy sewing! Will you show your dresses on the LD forum? Let me know if you do… I don’t get there everyday…
      Blessings, Jeanne

Yes, Jeanne, I plan to post some pictures. I’ll try to remember to let you know!

At the moment, I’m finishing up some t-shirts, to go with the plaid skirts I made last week. I still need to make Patty’s Easter dress, but at least it’s cut out and pinned now! LOL
