Today my mailman was knocking at my door and thrill of all thrills…he had a large package! It was for me and it was from one of my dear sweet subscribers…Maureen! She was very observant and noticed that my Etsy shop (HERE) was sold out of Skinny Scarves. (We’re almost sold out of everything…) So she sent me the nicest email asking if I would like her “de-stashed” yarns that she no longer needed. Sure…I’ll take them. The more yarns you use in the scarves the prettier they are. The box she sent was filled with some very pretty yarns in beautiful purples and some rich browns, plus some other fun novelty yarns. I’m anxious to pull out my yarns and see which ones these new ones go with. The scarves I make and my daughter (sometimes embellishes with added bling) are lightweight and can be worn well into Spring.
I thought I’d show you my new yarn lot. Thank you again Maureen.
Here are a few pictures of some sold Skinny Scarves we’ve done in the past…
I had to do some errands today and as I was driving by Hobby Lobby my car turned in all by itself and parked! It did the same thing as I got close to JoAnn Fabrics. (you know I’m kidding, right?) I found a few things I could use…
These Mill Hill Delica Glass beads are what I use on Spring dresses to decorate bodices and collars and other tiny areas that need them. I got a few colors I didn’t have.
When I went back to the beads section of Hobby Lobby, I found these 2 tubes of seed beads and a package of pastel seed beads in Spring like colors and picked them up as well.
I also found this very interesting section of a necklace. I think I can see it on a Civil War dress or a Regency dress. It was 50% off, so I had to get it.
Simplicity patterns were $1.99 so I had to support Eve and buy her latest pattern. Isn’t it cute? Which dress do you like the best?
I managed to get my 3 Easter Charm dresses on Ebay this evening and if you’d like to take a peek at them you can do so HERE.
If you want to see the other green and blue one, just click on Seller’s Other Items.
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
How very sweet of Maureen to send you that stash of yarn! I know that the two scarves I bought have been very well appreciated and worn many times!
Good luck on the dresses–they are just adorable!
Oh, I love that pattern! That’s the kind I need to buy to start sewing again, because I love all the details and they give a lot of options,—-and for $1.99, why not? Wasn’t planning on going to Hobby Lobby today, but my car just might take me there too!
Good morning Linda,
Thank you for letting me know again that you scarves that you bought from us have been being put to good use!
Isn’t that pattern the cutest thing… I love the pleated skirt very much. Eve does the sweetest dresses!
As for your car knowing how to get to the fabric store… if you do any kind of sewing or crafting, I’m sure I knows the way…just point it in the right direction and it will find it.
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a nice gesture!! Love how your car just knows where to go. 🙂 My car does too. Although, I don’t dare drive it near the bridge to cross over to the US and go to Joanns. Too busy moving houses and a trip there would be very bad for the wallet!! Have fun with your new pattern and beads. I can’t wait until I am able to cross over and get Eve’s new pattern as Canada no longer sells Simplicity. 🙁
HI Christine,
Maybe you’ll be moved soon and can cross the bridge and go to JoAnn’s for a day of shopping. Why doesn’t Canada sell Simplicity patterns anymore? It’s funny that Eve is from Nova Scotia and they don’t sell her patterns where she lives… that must be strange for her.

I am so happy you were able to successfully add your dresses to eBay. The dresses certainly turned out well with the colors delightful for Easter. I can see a beautiful spring day with the sun shining and a sweet Little Darling all dresses up in her new dress and hat.
Wow, the stash of yarn is excellent! So many color in different types and textures of fiber. I can see several made up in your cute scarves. What a fun delivery from the postman!
I certainly hope the snow and ice is melting in your area. Today we have blue skies !!
Thanks Jeannie, for your kind words about my Easter dresses. I hope it’s a sunny day on Easter so they don’t have to be covered up with sweaters…
Yes, the yarns are wonderful and I can’t wait to make something from them.
We had a perfect day yesterday, but today it’s cloudy and rain is coming. That grass is going to sprout up like crazy before we know it. Enjoy your blue skies!
Thanks Jeannie,
Blessings, Jeanne
That’s a nice assortment of yarn. It was nice of Maureen to offer it, and I’m sure you will put it to good use. I knew Eve had a new Simplicity pattern coming out but I haven’t been able to get it yet. I love all of her stuff. I’ll be anxious to see what you make!
Thanks Carolyn,
I’m anxious to make something out of the yarns too!
Isn’t Eve’s newest pattern just the cutest thing? I can’t decide which dress I’d like to try first. ..
Blessings, Jeanne
