I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing Sunday like we did. For the last few years my hubby and I have had a small Super Bowl Party with a few friends over. We’ve been SO busy the last 2 weeks, I asked if it could just be us…and watch the game by ourselves. I made some German Meatballs, some Italian Chicken fingers and some Taco Dip and chips. I guess I covered the main “nationalities” food wise! …don’t know exactly how that happened. My hubby picked the New England Patriots so I picked the Seattle Sea Hawks! It was a good game, going back and forth and was exciting down to the last 20 seconds, but my team lost in the end…Oh well…
So now, I’m on my computer thinking of what to write for this blog post, when it dawned on me, it’s February and Valentine’s Day is just 2 weeks away. I know… Pink dresses…that’s what I’ll show this time and hopefully get to some red dresses in a few days. They aren’t all Valentine dresses, but they could have been.
As I was tallying up my dresses sold the other night, I wish I had recorded what colors those 834 dresses were that I’ve sold over the years. It would be neat to know if blue or pink or red was the top seller. Since I don’t know and since I think I’ve done a fair number of pink dresses, I’m going to just “say” my number one seller was pink and see how many dresses I can find in pink. So here goes… Some of these will be repeats but not everyone may have seen them…
Again, if you click on any picture, it will enlarge somewhat.
Yep, gotta throw this one in too…it’s pink afterall…
Oh, my goodness…that’s a LOT of pink dresses… maybe it IS my number one color…I still have more to share but will do it in another post.
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh, your pink dresses are so pretty, Jeanne! A lot of those I haven’t seen before.
I noticed the picture you took outside with the red/pink dress. I made a dress this past summer with those colors and had to photograph outside too. It’s so hard to capture those colors, isn’t it?
Hi Cindy,
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, Nyssa’s dress was a bear to photograph inside, so we just moved outside. Fortunately it was a summer dress… and could be done outside. Now, where you live, that would have been a problem if I needed it photographed today.
Are you staying inside knitting up a storm? Well, maybe not a storm, but knitting?
Blessings, Jeanne
Love pink !!! I am so happy you featured the pink dresses today. It just brightens up a cold & drab Monday. The last picture shows a tiered skirt and cami top and is so darling. It reminds me of an outfit I made my older daughter when she was in high school. I made the cami top very modest for her as she was quite shy about her figure.
All of the pink is perfect for these little girls!!
HI Jeannie,
I love pink too, and I’m pretty sure it might be my number one seller! I still have lots more to show. Yes, that last outfit was on my Hope doll, by Kaye Wiggs and I thought she looked so pretty and feminine in it. Thanks for your sweet comments.
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh, I love pink too! All of the dresses are so pretty, and the girls are pretty in pink. I think you need to sew more pink dresses..hint, hint!
HI Regina,
As I looked at my fabrics on my shelves, I DO have a huge section devoted to pinks…maybe it is my #1 seller after all. I’ll never get tired of pink, so I’m sure there are more pink dresses to come! Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
800 plus dresses! Oh my! Incredible!
Oh those pink dresses are so luscious and feminine – they are just beautiful. Exquisite…I could go on and on. The floral dress with the lavender gown is one of my favorites. I thought you customized those two for a man’s daughter? Can’t wait to see what you make this year!
Have a great Monday! Blessings.
Hi Paula,
Yes, I wish I knew for sure how many of my 834 dresses were pink… why didn’t I write it down when I was counting them???
That pink dress was made for a dear friend of mine who gave them to two little girls he knew. You remembered correctly!
I’ve got lots in mind for the year, just need to get a few things squared away first. I’ve got a Married Couple’s Valentine Party for my church on the 12th, so my attention is on that right at the moment.
So many dresses…so little time to sew them…
Thanks so much Paula,
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh my goodness, Jeanne! All those adorable pink dresses! Each one is cuter than the one before it, and how do you possible sell them? If I did that, I would want to have them stay right here with me! I guess it makes a difference to get paid for them, but at the same time, I can see the dedication and love you put into each outfit you make.
I thought it was funny, that because your hubby picked the Patriots to win, you picked the Seahawks! I actually didn’t care who won, but we did watch it, me more for the commercials than the game itself.
Can’t wait to see what you sew up for Valentine’s Day dresses!
Hi Linda,
There are SOME dresses that are harder to pack up than others, but you’re right… it does help to get paid for them! Thanks so very much for your sweet words about my dresses… I do try REALLY hard to make pretty little girls dresses and I’m glad it shows.
I just picked the Sea Hawks so one of us would be a winner! I was ALMOST the winner! We had fun watching the commercials too. I didn’t think they were as good as usual though.
I’m doing some catch up work today, but hope to get some more pink out soon!
Blessings, Jeanne
