Every once in a while I make a dress and have a hard time selling it. Not always, but sometimes… Such was the case with this sweet yellow and black gown I made for American Girl, Addy several years ago. Everything just turned out wonderfully on it and it continues to be my all time favorite dress I ever made for her.
The vision for it started with a simple line drawing in a fashion magazine from 1864 and this was the rendition I came up with. I just thought I’d share a few pictures of it… as I wonder if the winner is still enjoying it.
Doesn’t she look pretty in yellow?
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a sweet dress for Addy, Jeanne! So bright and sunshiny! I love the little buttons and black lace detailing. Wish I could sew like that!
Thanks Linda,
I loved that fabric and wish I had a whole bolt of it…It’s one of the very few yellow fabrics that I’ve ever loved.
Blessings, Jeanne
It’s a very pretty dress Jeanne, and a lot of work has obviously gone into it….no wonder you wanted to keep it for your own girl!

Jeanne, you KNOW I think it is one of the best ever, as well! :~)
